Gothic Panda

I go by Gothic Panda, Panda, GP, Kasumi, Kas, Kasy, Kasa, and occassionally Sarah.

Most of my time is spent taking care of my family (see below). I have a masters degree in European and Asian history and a BA in History with a focus on medieval Japan. I am a member of the Presbyterian church (PCA), so you won't see too many updates here on Sundays. I would love to be able to make my art here a full time job. When I'm not drawing fanart and stuff for my art tables or commissions, I'm usually drawing something for one of my original stories, or doing art for one of my husband's writing projects. I'm addicted to cosplay--in fact I couldn't find any noncosplay photos of me anywhere when looking for a pic to post here. Once upon a time, I ran a cosplay commission business. Outside of that, I love working on all kinds of arts and crafts projects.

Ekoja Edami

Ekoja, also called Shaun, Eko, Wes, Dr. Eko, Dr. Cashman, or Professor Cashman, is my husband. <3 The kitten is our youngest cat, Badger; he's 4 yrs old now, so not so much of a kitten any more, although he still tries to sit on people's shoulders.

Ekoja graduated with a ph.D. from NCSU in the Summer of 2010, and currently works as a professor of New Media at Pfeiffer University. He is my sweet husband and Daddy for our little boys (see below). He is trained in art, film and design, and he enjoys fantasy, anime and reading. He is also a member of the PCA church. He works tirelessly to support us, and is my primary source of encouragement. He is also responsible for the descriptions and the chain mail jewelry posted on the site here.

Super Pokemon Trainer

Ty is my oldest son. He loves Pokemon, especially water types.

Ty is an aspiring Pokemon trainer (aka, adventuring his way through 5th grade). His first fanart ever was for Pokemon. He likes Pokemon, Avatar, X-Men and Spiderman. Ty also just crossed over into Boy Scouts. He is following in our footprints--he loves reading, writing, anime, and cooking. He likes cosplay and with a little bit of guidance should be making his own costumes with in a couple of years. He is learning how to make geek jewelry with beads and moving into chain mail. Look for some of his stuff at my art tables.

The Monkey

Luke is my middle son. He is a fire-type Pokemon trainer.

Luke earned the title "Monkey" from his lifelong love for bananas and his willingness to climb (literally) to any height to get them, or anything else that strikes his fancy. Luke is in 2nd grade now and is in Cub Scouts. He loves math--says he's going to be an electrical engineer when he grows up. He's gradually learning to like reading. Luke is currently too cool to cosplay with us, but he still enjoys hanging out with us at conventions. He has also been working with Perler beads to make neat geekish things.

Little Monkey

Logan is my youngest son. He likes to pretend he likes Pokemon even if all he can do is run around hollering "Pikachu". He adores both of his brothers.

Logan is much like Luke in his energy and interest in climbing on top of the kitchen fridge for bananas (and other treats). He's only 3 and we're still learning his interests and personality.
