Princess Peach is the young ruler of Mushroom Kingdom. She's a shrewd politician and speaks out strongly against crime although she's fairly lax when it comes to controlling the local mafia bosses. She lets them deal with any unorganized crime and spends most of her time building strong trade alliances and improving the kingdom's economy. She and Mario have been engaged for a while but she has delayed any kind of wedding because the princess enjoys ruling her kingdom alone.
